A rat in the middle of a city,

Full of hunger and pity.

All his peers getting brunch from the chef's lair,

Makes him think he's better than just smelling the kitchen's air.

He walks in like a penguin walks into a bar,

But the countertop is big enough only for a rat or a jar.

The chef isn't delighted by this visitor,

Chases after him till he falls in a sewer.

Carried by the water survival is what he thrives,

Just maybe he could do better at life.

Thinking he was a good-for-nothing rat as water drowns his fur,

Not aware that its time to start his real adventure.
